Michael Linebaugh has been providing valuation services for litigation purposes since 2007. He began his appraisal career with a primary focus on eminent domain, working with attorneys representing private property owners and condemning authorities on various residential, commercial, and industrial properties throughout Florida. His experience included partial and whole right of way acquisitions, natural gas pipeline easements, utility and flowage easements.
Michael joined Urban Economics in 2010, expanding his litigation valuation experience to include property tax, deficiency judgments, contamination, construction defects, fractured condominiums, and sink holes. Michael has assisted a wide range of clients from private single family residential property owners to government entities and national investors.
Michael is originally from York, Pennsylvania where he graduated for York Catholic High School. Upon graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve and served as combat engineer before becoming a tank crewman until he ended his enlistment in 2005. Michael attended Florida State University earning a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Real Estate and Finance. Michael is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and has completed several appraisal institute courses including Litigation Appraising; Specialized Topics and Applications and Condemnation Appraising: Principles and Applications. Michael became licensed as a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in 2011.
